The PBC Fellowship is an 8-month programme tailored for Overseas Filipinos (OFs) with an increasing interest to start a business in the United Arab Emirates.

It is a development and empowerment course for OFs to transition from employees to entrepreneurs.

Every so often one gets very fortunate to be associated with an organization that is true to its mission and vision. The latest initiative of the council, ‘The PBC Fellowship’, an eight-month empowerment and transformative programme for OFs, is a case in point. Every so often one gets very lucky to work with people that are engaged, committed and passionate.

The PBC ExCom, the Fellowship Secretariat and volunteer lecturers are perfect examples. Every so often one gets the support from partners and stakeholders so that an organization remains germane not only to its members but to the Filipino community at large.  LBC, PCG, DTI and DOLE-POLO are such partners and stakeholders.

Every step taken is not just made for a better tomorrow, but rather a move towards greater achievements, milestones and ultimately excellence in their respective fields of choice. Deep within the heart of that mentality lies the very fundamental of what every Filipino simply aspires for - success.

LBC Express collaborates with the Philippine Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates in unlocking and cultivating that fundamental amongst aspiring Filipinos by providing them not just the recognition they deserve, but the full-on support, network and proper infrastructure to turn their entrepreneurial vision into reality. We encourage our kababayans to learn as much from the PBC Fellowship Program and move towards their aspirations and inspire more people with their success stories."

I offer my congratulations to the Philippine Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates at the launch of the PBC Fellowship Program. This 8-month program designed for Filipinos who have the interest to start a business in the United Arab Emirates is an extremely important element of our diaspora as the Philippines recognizes the crucial role of businesses, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises in achieving economic growth and development.

The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, for one, has been vigorously pursuing policies, programs, and initiatives to promote the creation and development of MSMEs given their valuable contribution to economic growth, employment and poverty alleviation."

Philippine Consulate General

Dubai, UAE

At the core of the Department of Trade and Industry’s agenda are initiatives that strongly support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which serve as the backbone of the Philippine economy and comprises 99% of the total establishments in the country. Supporting MSMEs guarantees that the benefits of the growing economy will trickle down to the poorest of the poor.

It is, thus, with deep appreciation that I sincerely congratulate the Philippine Business Council – Dubai and Northern Emirates for the successful launch of the PBC Fellowship!

The PBC Fellowship is indeed a testament that empowering global Filipinos to be entrepreneurs starts with the individual recognition that one can impact social change, continued when supported by transformative leadership, and sustained by the dedication to constantly innovate and grow."

We commend the Philippine Business Council for its latest initiative, the PBC Fellowship.

The fellowship program is a wonderful arena of information, skills, resources, knowledge, and experience necessary to equip and transform overseas Filipino workers to entrepreneurs.

Our strategic cooperation with PBC is a reaffirmation of our objective to guide overseas Filipinos with an avenue to prepare their reintegration and thereafter, create more and better jobs through entrepreneurial activities.

We encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to engage in the PBC Fellowship Program."
